OPTICS PHYSICISTS/ENGINEERS

Nanobiosym is currently recruiting for both junior and senior level Optics professionals. In this hands-on research role, successful candidates will develop state of the art optical techniques for nano-bio platforms and maintain/upgrade Nanobiosym's advanced optical workbenches, including supporting data acquisition and analysis programs.

Position requirements:  

Senior Level

• PhD or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field with 5+ years relevant research experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience in the design, construction and maintenance of optical workbenches with laser sources.

• Advanced Labview and Matlab programming experience.

• Strong understanding of optical theory in order to confidently troubleshoot and refine optical designs.

• High precision optical alignments.

 
Junior Level

• MS in in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field with 3+ years relevant research experience.

• Hands-on experience in the design, construction and maintenance of optical workbenches with laser sources.

• Advanced Labview and Matlab programming experience

• Strong data acquisition skills and experience.

• Strong understanding of optical theory in order to confidently troubleshoot and refine optical designs.

• High precision optical alignments.

Preferred skills:

 •  Additional experience in mechanical CAD, machine shop and opto-mechanical                  techniques.
